To maximize the lifespan of the PFC (Power Factor Correction) panel it is of utmost importance that the power maintenance and installation of the panel is done correctly. Due to the nature of the design of the dielectric, the capacitor is sensitive to overheating, transients, overvoltage and is therefore important to keep track of the condition of the capacitors, either to measure the current or the capacitance of the phases and to keep records of these measurements. In case of a new installation or modifications to an existing installation, we take great caution to ensure that the capacitors and transformer cannot go into resonance due to harmonics in the system, leading to equipment damage.
It is also recommended to have your PFC installation serviced on a regular basis to prevent excessive damage to the PFC panel in case of any type of failure.
